A sea of white faces.  The elite wealthy who are actively protecting their financial interests.  Unsavory executives who slink out to the strip clubs on Bourbon Street after convention hours. Fat cats lobbying to reduce their mega-incomes taxes down to zero.

Masses of whites in a desperate and futile last ditch effort to hold back the browning tide of America.  This is the perception of Republican convention delegates portrayed by the main stream media.  Is this an accurate description?  Who are the delegates who represent the Republican Party?  I conducted several interviews of randomly selected delegates to find the reality, and discovered group does not entirely fit the stereotypes.

First, a majority of delegates are women. "I care about the country," Judy Swilling, an office administrator of New Tazwell Tennessee. "We have to stop what's going on in this country."

And for the most part, these are the producers of the our economy, the work horses, the small business owners who are out in front pulling the wagon, and not riding inside.  These people comprise the fifty percent of our population that pays taxes, according to Adam Lerrick of AEI.  Most delegates are involved to serve their own self interest, but want to serve a larger cause. "We've worked really hard, educated our own children, we never asked for anything from the government," said Dale Lusk, a retired pharmacist from Memphis.
