As Americans rallied against ObamaCare in a "Code Red" protest rally on the grounds of the Capitol Building, President Obama assembled key Democrat senators and Independent Senator Joseph Lieberman, to give the final push to get the 60 votes required to defeat the Republican filibuster.  President Obama and instructed Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to give Lieberman whatever he wants to get the bill through the Senate.

Senate Democrats have consistently ignored American's protests and the polls which now show 56 percent of the American public against Obama's plans to transform American health insurance, with only 19 percent who strongly support it.  Likewise, Senate Democrats acted today as if no protestors were in Washington today and proceeded as if their constituents support the program that will cost $2.5 trillion. and will create "Put me down tonight as encouraged at the direction in which these discussions are going," said Lieberman coming out of the meeting. Liberal Democrats complained about dropping the government "option" and the Medicare "buy-in" which would have dropped the eligibility age to 55, but in the end, they are expected to fall in line to vote for the bill.

In a dramatic turn of events since Sunday, it appears the deal is coming together and that the Senate will pass the bill before the senators return home for Christmas break.
