For the second consecutive day on the air, Rush Limbaugh gave out the telephone numbers to the Congressional switchboard today, encouraging listeners to call in to make their voices heard to stop Pelosi and the ObamaCare express. According to Politico, Rush has given out the telephone number to the Congressional switchboard only one time before in the mid 90s.
On his program today, Rush said he normally does not give out congressional telephone numbers over the air, but so today because "This is game time," he said.
Limbaugh said on his program Tuesday that he cannot recall the specific issue for which he encouraged his listeners to call Congress, but did recall he did it primarily as a demonstration that his audience would effectively shut down the congressional phone lines, which they did for about thirty minutes.
Limbaugh intentionally gave out the number of the main switchboard to congress, rather than to any specific representative, in order to effectively shut down the entire system.
The numbers Rush put out are: 877-762-8762 and 202-224-3121
