I thought that according to our president, it doesn’t matter WHAT we spend government money on, as long as it’s government spending. So why can’t we spend some of that money to keep local post offices open?
I just received a notice in my mailbox that my local post office is closing.
I’m confused. We’re spending trillions of dollars on bailouts, stimulus, and now they’re closing my local post office?

Meanwhile the federal government is imposing a tax on me that I must pay in extra time and money. The government is taxing my time by increasing the my travel tune to a farther post office, and in money by increasing my amount of gas to get there.
This is more of the same that we have suffered over the past forty years, of spending billions on social programs that simply increase poverty, lining the pockets of Wall Street, subsidizing offensive art, all the while we sit idly by and watch our highways, sewer systems, bridges, and infrastructure deteriorate. Why can’t our government take care of the basics first?
